Cultural employment: Includes employment in companies classified under activities R90 or R91 under NACE Rev. 2, the statistical classification of economic activities in the European Community. This differs from the CULT23 matrix, which is also on cultural employment but there defined as employment in companies practicing an activity in the cultural domain and people in cultural occupations whether in or outside the cultural domain (i.e. falling under the EU 'Cultural and creative sectors' definition, comprised of all sectors whose activities are based on cultural values, or other artistic individual or collective creative expressions and are defined in the legal basis of the Creative Europe Programme).Cultural employment statistics are derived from data on employment based on the results of the European Labour Force Survey (LFS). LFS adopted a new methodology from 2021 onwards, leading to a break in time series for all countries in 2021. Please refer to Eurostat (table: lfsa_egan22d) and related metadata for more information. No data available for Greenland, Faroe Islands or Åland, but values for Åland are included in Finland.
