Data contains the number of people who are living in a given country on the 31st of December 2015, but not the 31st of December 2014. This is used as an approximate value for the number of people who have emigrated from the country of residence in 2014 and immigrated to the country of residence in 2015.
Those born during 2015 have been excluded.

Age and sex is stated only at the time of immigration (in 2015).

A given change in the employmnet status can be seen as the change between the status at the time of emigration in 2014 and the time of immigration in 2015.

Due to differences in administrative practices no microdata between Sweden and Denmark and Sweden and Norway have been exchanged. As a consequence for this, there are no data for migration between these countries.

This matrix is the result of an integration and migration co-operation project involving the Nordic Statistical Institutes. More information about the project and the results can be found at the website for Nordic Co-operation .

At the moment no update of the data is planned.
