Unemployment rates are based on register data by the main activity status of the population at the end of each reference year. In 2020, the unemployment rate rose drastically due to the pandemic. The data has a production time of about 22 months. In the matrix KEY01, unemployment rates for Åland are published with a substantially shorter production time. The unemployment rate in KEY01 is based on figures from The Åland Labor Market and Study Service Authority (AMS), and therefore differs from the register based data presented in this matrix.
