The Structure of Earnings Survey (SES) provides EU-wide harmonised structural data on gross earnings, hours paid and annual days of paid holiday leave, which are collected every four years under Council regulation.

Gross annual earnings of employees calculated for both full-time and part-time employment as full-time quivalents. The amounts are in PPS/euro i.e. Purchasing Power Standards, which eliminates the differences in price levels between the countries.

Covers only enterprises with more than 10 employees.

Covers the following economic activities: Industry, construction and services (except public administration, defense, compulsory social security).
